Introduction#

aelf Playground is a sandbox for new developers who want to experience smart contract development with aelf without installing any tools on their local computer.

Setting up#

No setup is needed. Simply visit aelf Playground in your browser.

Using aelf Playground#

Create a New Project#

Click on the Create a New Project button, as shown below:

Enter a project name and choose a specific template of your choice.

Press Create:

After a short while, the workspace will load:

Write Your Smart Contract#

Edit the files as needed to write your smart contract.

Build Your Smart Contract#

Once you are ready, click on the 🔧 Build button:

Wait for the contract to be built.

Connect Your Playground Wallet#

Click on the Connect to Playground Wallet button:

A pop-up will appear.

TIP: You may choose to click on Save keypair to save a copy of your keypair for use in subsequent sessions.

Click Continue.

Deploy Your Smart Contract#

Click on the Deploy button to deploy your smart contract:

Wait for about 1 minute for the contract to be deployed:

You may click on the link provided to view your contract on the aelf explorer.
